Ghana winger Christian Atsu has joined Saudi Arabian outfit Al Raed on a two-year deal after a successful negotiations.
The 29-year old has joined the Saudi Arabian side as a free agent after leaving Newcastle United months ago.[ads2]
He has become the second Ghanaian player to move to the Asian continent in the ongoing transfer window after Afriyie Acquah who signed for Al Batin days ago.
Atsu traveled to Europe as a teenager in 2011 as he was signed by Portuguese giants FC Porto.
After two impressive seasons at FC Porto, Atsu joined English Premier league outfit Chelsea on a fee worth €3.5million but couldn’t feature in a single game for the club.[ads3]
He was sent on loan to Vitesse and subsequently featured for Everton, Bournemouth, Everton and Malaga, all on loan, before his permanent transfer to Newcastle United in 2017.[ads4]
But he left Newcastle United last summer after failing to make a single appearance in the English Premier league.
Christian Atsu has capped 69 matches for the Ghana senior make national team, Black Stars, scoring 9 goals since making his debut in 2012.[ads5]
