Check the players below
Emmanuel Boateng (Dalian Yifang – China)
Boateng was part of the previous squad that played against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
The 25-year old attacker played in that two games but this time around has been snubbed by CK Akonnor due to the fact that the Chinese Super League has been suspended due to the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus.
Patrick Twumasi (Gaziantep – Turkey)
Twumasi was named in the previous squad by former Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah but was an unused sub in the two matches. He has been super this season for Gaziantep but dropped by CK Akonnor.
Torric Jebril (TP Mazembe – DR Congo)
The winger received his maiden Black Stars call-up when Ghana faced South Africa and Sao Tome & Principe but was an unused sub in all the two games.

The former Hearts of Oak star has temporarily lost his place in the Black Stars but expected to make a return soon.
Shafiu Mumuni ( Ashgold – Ghana)
Shafiu Mumuni was among the few locally based players who earned a call-up in the Black Stars previous AFCON Qualifiers but was excluded this time around.
The Black Stars ‘B’ attacker has been out of action for Ashgold Sporting Club since week four of the Ghana Premier League, wanting a move abroad.
Mohammed Salisu ( Real Valladolid – Spain)
The in-form centre-back was shockingly left out of the Black Stars squad to face Sudan.
Following his spontaneous form this season for the Spanish Laliga outfit, Salisu was touted to be among the squad but was nowhere to be found.
Coach CK Akonnor explained that the efforts to reach the defender were futile does why he was excluded from the squad.

Lumor Agbenyanu ( Real Mallorca – Spain)
The left-back was handed a call-up by coach Kwasi Appiah but failed to honor the invitation due to injury. He couldn’t pass late fitness test and had to miss Ghana’s game against South Africa and Sao Tome & Principe.
He has however returned from injury and played full time in Real Mallorca’s defeat to Gatefe.
Joseph Attamah ( Fatik Karagumuruk – Turkey)
The left-back was handed a late Black Stars call-up by former Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah as the replacement for Lumor Agbenyanu and was a sub in Ghana’s game against South Africa and Sao Tome & Principe.
He was however dropped by CK Akonnor in the latest Black Stars squad to face Sudan.
Harrison Afful ( Columbus Crew – USA)
Afful turned down a call-up by Kwasi Appiah due to a broken jaw which saw him sidelined for months at club level.
He has recovered and even registered an assist in Columbus Crew game against New York City FC.
Felix Annan ( Asante Kotoko – Ghana)
The enterprising goalkeeper was part of the Black Stars squad that played against South Africa and Sao Tome & Principe though he was an unused sub.
Due to lack of playing time at Kotoko this season, Annan has lost his spot for now to Hearts of Oak’ Richard Attah in the Black Stars.
