The Member of Parliament for Adansi-Asokore, KT Hammond has said Carlos Ahenkorah never snatched any ballot sheets in Parliament on Thursday dawn.
Carlos Ahenkorah is making the headlines again for snatching a ballot sheets as contained in a video going viral on various social media platforms.[ads2]
The MP for Tema West could be seen in the viral video being chased by security at the parliament with ballot sheets in his hands.
This was when the clerk-before-the-table was counting the votes on who to become the Speaker for the 8th Parliament between Mike Aaron Oquaye and Alban Bagbin.[ads3]
The clerk-on-the-table had finished counting the votes for Professor Mike Aaron Oquaye and were counting that of Alban Bagbin when Carlos Ahenkorah snatched some of the ballot sheets and bolted away with it.
He was chased by the MP-elect for Asawase constituency, Muntaka Mohammed who retrieved the sheets for the counting process to continue…[ads4]
But speaking to Angel TV, KT Hammond denied that Carlos Ahenkorah snatched the ballot sheets rather wanted to arrange the sheets well to help in the counting process.
He said, “Carlos didn’t snatched the papers but only wanted to arrange it well.”[ads5]
