[ads2]Ghanaian midfielder Evelyn Badu has been named the 2022 CAF women’s inter-club player of the year.
The 19-year old has won the award after splendid form for Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies in the year under retrospect.
Badu who currently ply her trade for Alvaldsness off competition from Mamelodi Sundowns duo Andile Dlamini and Bambanani Mbanie at awards night in Rabat, Morocco.
Evelyn Badu was phenomenal in Hasaacas Ladies’ extraordinary campaign at the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League last year.[ads3]
Even though Hasaacas Ladies lost the final to Mamelodi Sundowns, Evelyn Badu ended the competition as the topscorer, scoring five goals.
The talented midfielder was also named the player of the tournament.
Badu was transferred from Hasaacas Ladies to sign for Norwegian club Avaldsnes IL ahead of the 2021/22 season.[ads4]
She is currently the captain of the Black Princesses of Ghana that’s preparing for the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup slated for August in Costa Rica.
