The Director of the Coaching Education at the Ghana FA, Professor Joseph Mintah has advised head coaches to be mindful of who they choose as assistant.
According to the astute Ghanaian tactician, it is advisable for coaches to be careful on who they appoint as their assistant particularly when they land a new job.[ads2]
He explained that some of these assistant coaches later turn out to be politicians and sabotage the head coaches in order to land the top job themselves.
Speaking at the Ghana FA Refresher course for CAF license A coaches, Professor Mintah advised that head coaches have to do a proper background checks before appointing an assistant coach.[ads3]
“Be careful on who you appoint as assistant coach. Some of these coaches later turn to be politicians and decide to cause your downfall “, Professor Mintah advised.
