Renowned surgeon and health expert Prof. Agyeman Badu Akosa has critically tasked the President and Ghanaian lawmakers to ban politicians and government appointees from traveling abroad to seek health care prospects.
Mr. Akosa said this traveling abroad culture of Ghanaian politicians and appointees seeking health care from other countries abroad is bad in terms of financial and professional development. He pointed out that the notion makes Ghanaian doctors incompetent since the leaders and those in authorities don’t regard Ghanaian doctors and the health care in general.
Mr. Akosa has tasked the current government to make sure to curb such habits from the politicians and government appointees since it underrate and degrade Ghanaian doctors and cause financial loss to the state as well.
