The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation’s Foundation will commission a borehole water projects in the Northern Region. The exercise forms part of the Foundation’s 100 borehole water project for deprived communities in Ghana. The commissioning has been scheduled for March 2, 2019 at Kanshegu and would see twelve districts in the Northern region such as Tamale Metropolis, North Gonja, Central Gonja, Mamprugu- Moagduri, Bunkprugu Yunyoo, Nasia Mamprusi West, Nantom, Gushie, Mamprusi East and Tolon all benefitting from the projects.

The GFA Normalization Committee has announced date for the commencement of the Special Women’s Competition after a meeting today. The decision was finalized after a meeting was held today at the Ghana Football Association’s Secretariat with women’s football club owners. After deliberations at the meeting, the Committee, Club Owners concluded on 9th- 10th March, 2019 for the commencement of the special tournament. The clubs would receive a sum of GHC 7,500 as participation fee whilst those who will reach the quarter-final would pocket GHC 3,000. Ghana Black Maidens skipper Mukarama Abdulai has finally received her Adidas Golden boot and bronze ball awards which she won at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Womens World Cup tournament. The Northern Ladies forward, captained the Black Maidens to the quarter-final, scored four solid goals to clinched the accolade in the competition at Uruguay. Her splendid performance and the four goals overtook Jane Ayieyam as the all-time top scorer in the competition. Sudanese club Al Hilal have appointed Tunisian tactician Nabil Kouki as their new head coach ahead of Asante Kotoko clash. The club appointed the astute gaffer for the third time after Irad Zaafouri was sacked. Kouki was in charge of the Blue Wave in 2015 and 2017.
