The Miners held Akonangui FC to a 1:1 stalemate at the Ebebeyin Stadium in the first-leg of the CAF Confederation Cup. Richard Osei Agyemang netted the opener for Ashanti Gold in the 55th minute before Diosando Mbele snatched parity for the Ebebeyin based club in the 75th minute.
