The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced to its cherished customers and stakeholders that the upward review of electricity tariff for the first quarter will take effect from February 1, 2023.[ads2] This comes following an earlier publication by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURC) on January 16 of a possible increase in electricity prices by about 30 percent and 8.3 percent for water.
