Fans of Real Tamale United (RTU) attacked and assaulted a referee in the club’s premier league game against Aduana Stars on Sunday. The irate fans invaded the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium pitch and begun to attack the referee for a reason best known to them. In a video making rounds in the media, the security officials on duty could be seen intervening despite the fans outnumbering them.
