The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested three individuals for unlawful possession of arms and ammunition during an operation on April 30, 2025, at Bowodie-Wassa Akropong. The suspects—Hakeem Imoro, Imoro Tahiru, and Nurideen Wahab—were intercepted while traveling aboard a Grand Bird Bus with registration number AS 4431-22, en route to Wassa Akropong. A thorough search on Hakeem Imoro led to the discovery of a submachine gun (SMG) rifle and twenty-one rounds of ammunition. Eight (8) suspects have so far been arrested in connection with the crime from their hideouts in Ghana and Nigeria. Further details will be shared in due course.
