The Chief Executive Officer of New Edubiase FC, Abdul Salam Yakubu has rejected the Covid-19 relief fund from FIFA to Ghanaian clubs.
The Ghana FA will be receiving $1.8m from both FIFA and CAF as relief funds for member Associations to be shared to clubs who have been greatly affected by the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus.

The Ghana FA has already set $7,500 for division one league clubs from the relief funds which has generated an unease controversies in the media.
Most division one league clubs have opposed the $7,500, crying for more since the $7,500 according to them is a peanut compared to $15,000 received by the Ghana Premier League clubs.

But the President, bankroller of New Edubiase FC, Abdul Salam Yakubu has rejected their share of the relief funds, cautioning the Ghana FA to add more to the $7,500 before accepting to take their share.
“I have promised my boys [Players] that, a money is coming but I will look elsewhere for money to give to them. I don’t want any money from the GFA, they should add up or forget.. I have rejected my share”, angry Yakubu said on Asempa FM.
