AshantiGold Sporting Club have made eight new additions to their squad ahead of the next league season.
This was disclosed by the newly appointed Communications Director of the Ghana Premier League side Eric Karikari.

According to him, AshantiGold are still talking to other players aside the already signed eight players with Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed on the pipeline.
“We’ve made additions, some of them are confirmed and talks are still ongoing with others”, Karikari is quoted by ghanasportspage.

“We are done with Stephen Bentsil (Ebusua Dwarfs), Michael Ennu (Liberty Professionals), Yaw Annor (Bechem United FC) is around, we have Nathaniel Asamoah (free agent), Hans Kwofie (free agent), Matthew Agama (GMC Academy), Kwame Moses (Bechem United FC) as well as former Medeama SC player Dacosta Boadu”, he outlined.

Meanwhile AshantiGold Sporting Club have released the likes of Eric Donkor, James Akaminko, Emmanuel Osei Baffour, Benedict Wobenu, defender Musah Mohammed as well as midfielders Stephen Owusu Banahene and Randolf Akwasi Nti. The club also failed to renew the contract of James Akaminko.
AshantiGold will be representing Ghana in the 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup after a greenlight by the Ghana FA despite the cancellation of the 2019/20 league season.
