AshantiGold Sporting Club have released their out-of-contract midfielder James Akaminko alongside five other players.
Akaminko had his contract with the Ghana Premier League outfit expired but earlier reports were that negotiations were in session for a contract renewal.

But Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM is reporting that James Akaminko has been given his release letter after a management decision.
Akaminko has been heavily linked to Asante Kotoko who are augmenting squad for the next league season.
With AshantiGold reportedly given him his release letter, James Akaminko’s move to Asante Kotoko look possible.
Aside James Akaminko, AshantiGold Sporting Club have also released Akwasi Nti, Stephen Owusu, Benedict Wobenu, Musah Mohammed and Emmanuel Osei Baffour.

This is to create space for new additions as AshantiGold SC augment squad for the next league season.
The Miners will be representing Ghana in the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup and have already begun preparations.
