The Ghana Premier league outfit Ashantigold Sporting Club have issued a statement on alleged match fixing game against Inter Allies.
The Miners annihilated Inter Allies 7:0 in the game held at the Lenclay Sports Stadium in last match of the Ghana Premier league on Sunday afternoon.[ads2]
Inter Allies defender Hashmin Musah scored two own goals in that game to give Ashantigold SC a sounding 7:0 victory.
Aftermath of the game comes with allegations that the match was a fixed one with 5:1 as the correct score only for Hashmin Musah to score late own goals to spoil the bet.[ads3]
Already the Ghana Football Association has announced a quick investigations into the matter to be able to bring the perpetrators to book.
However, Ashantigold SC have issued a stating that they played a competitive game and have no hands in the match fixing allegations.[ads4]
The club have threatened to take legal actions against anyone who will drag its name to the mud.
