AshantiGold Sporting Club have begun talks to sign former Asante Kotoko defender Ampem Dacosta.
Dacosta has been released by Asante Kotoko after being deemed surplus to requirements despite spending only a season at the club.

According to the manager of the buoyant centre-back, clubs have started enquiring about the availability of the defender with AshantiGold leading the race.
Speaking on Pure FM in Kumasi, the manager of the former Karela United defender disclosed that his player is likely to play for AshantiGold if his imminent move abroad fell through.

“Ampem Dacosta will play one of the big teams in the Ashanti Region if he doesn’t travel abroad. Many offers are there. Clubs have started calling for Dacosta services but for AshantiGold, it is 50-50”, Dacosta’s manager B God revealed .
Ampem Dacosta joined Asante Kotoko in December 2019 from Karela United on a three-year deal after a splendid stint with the Ayinase-based club.
