Ghana Premier League heavyweight, Asante Kotoko have paid GH¢180,000.00 owed former head coach CK Akonnor.
The Black Stars gaffer dragged the Porcupine Warriors to the Ghana FA Players Status Committee, demanding a compensation after his three-year contract was wrongfully abrogated.
Kotoko asked for out of court settlement after the Player Status Committee sat on the case.

It is reported in the media that, Asante Kotoko Board Member and astute businessman Alhaji Lamin paid coach CK Akonnor the GH¢180,000.00 after reaching an agreement with the current Black Stars head coach.
CK Akonnor joined Asante Kotoko on a three-year deal in 2018 after a successful stint at Ashgold Sporting Club but his contract was terminated after just nine months.

Despite his short spell at the Ghana Premier League record holders, CK Akonnor reached the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup and won the NC Special Competition tier I in 2019 which qualified the club to the 2019/20 CAF Champions League.
CK Akonnor was replaced by Norwegian Kjetil Zachariassen who was also with Ashgold Sporting Club before the Kotoko move.
