Ghana Premier League heavyweight, Asante Kotoko have begun crunch talks with three of their key players to extend their stay with the club.
The trio namely Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Christopher Nettey and William Opoku Mensah have had their contracts with the team expired.

Speaking to the media after the team’s first training after the coronavirus break, coach Maxwell Konadu stated that the management are talking to the three players to have their contract renewed.
According to coach Konadu, the Chief Executive Officer of the club Nana Yaw Amponsah is in deep talks with Christopher Nettey and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and soon they will join the rest of the players for preparations after their deals have been extended.

“Agyemang Badu has had his contract expired but the CEO is working tirelessly to renew the deal, same goes to Nettey [Christopher]”, he said.
It is believed that the management of Asante Kotoko have offered William Opoku Mensah a fresh contract and the former Karela United marksman is expected to put pen on paper very soon.

Already Asante Kotoko have signed former AshantiGold SC defender Mubarik Yusif, Emmanuel Keyekeh from Karela United, Emmanuel Sarkodie and Kwame Opoku.
The team have started training ahead of the upcoming CAF Champions League campaign and will move to Koforidua to pitch camp probably next week.
