Ghana Premier League giant, Asante Kotoko have been dealt a big blow as two of their key players have been ruled out of CAF Champions League clash against Nouadhibou FC in Mauritania.
The Porcupine Warriors will travel to Mauritania on Wednesday for the CAF Champions League prelims against Nouadhibou FC this weekend.[ads2]
But goalkeeper and skipper Felix Annan as well as defender Habib Mohammed have been ruled out of the game.
Felix Annan has been ruled out of the game after sustaining an injury in Ghana Premier League game against Berekum Chelsea last weekend.[ads3]
Annan is expected to be at the treatment room for close to eight weeks.
Habib Mohammed on the other hand will be missing the Nouadhibou FC duel in Mauritania due to suspension.
The dependable centre-back was red carded in Asante Kotoko game against Etoile du Sahel last year and will be serving two matches ban.[ads4]
The absence of the two players come as huge blow to Asante Kotoko who are determined to make a meaningful impact in this season’s CAF Champions League campaign.
Already goalkeeper Razak Abalora has been ruled out of the game due to Coronavirus issues which means Asante Kotoko will be in Mauritania with two goalkeepers namely Kwame Baah and Danlad Ibrahim..[ads5]
