The Editor of Asante Kotoko Express, Jerome Otchere has denied media reportage that the club have released two of their key players.
Reports were earlier rife in the media that, Asante Kotoko have terminated the contracts of Maxwell Baakoh and Richard Senanu after being deemed surplus to requirements.

But Jerome Otchere who is a core figure at the Asante Kotoko communication department, has denied the reportage making headway in the media, stressing that the reports are palpable false.
On his Facebook page, Jerome Otchere wrote that, “reports that Richard Senanu and Maxwell Baakoh are part of players leaving Asante Kotoko are false. No truth in it. Dump those reports somewhere please.”

Meanwhile Asante Kotoko are set to release some number of players to make their squad sizeable as they prepare for the next league season.

Already Ampem Dacosta has been released by Asante Kotoko after being deemed surplus to requirements after just a season with the club.
