Hearts of Oak attacker, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been recalled to the Black Stars camp for a four-nation tournament in Japan.
The in-form attacker was part of the Black Stars squad for 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Central African Republic.
He was dropped from the Black Stars squad for Central African Republic fixture in Angola alongside Augustine Okrah of Bechem United.
But as part of strengthening squad for the four-nation tournament in Japan, coach Otto Addo has recalled Afriyie Barnieh to the Black Stars camp for the trip to the Asian country.
His call-up means there are three local-based players currently at the Black Stars camp preparing for the Japan trip after defender Dennis Korsah of Hearts of Oak and goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim of Asante Kotoko.
Danlad Ibrahim was called to replace Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori who sustained an hamstring injury prior to the Central African Republic game in Angola.
Ghana will play Japan in the semifinal of the four-nation tournament slated for June 10-14, 222 before facing either Chile or Tunisia.
According to the Ghana FA, the tournament will serve as preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar scheduled to commence on November 28.
