ACCRA — Steel manufacturer B5 Plus Limited has donated a consignment of relief items in support of Ghanaian families displaced by the recent floods, presenting the items at Jubilee House in Accra.
The donation covered bags of rice and maize, cooking oil, packaged drinking water and cartons of sardines for immediate food needs; blankets and jerry cans for shelter and safe water storage; and mosquito nets against the malaria risk that rises in stagnant floodwater. The company also supplied Wellington boots and raincoats for families returning to waterlogged homes, along with baby food and diapers for mothers with infants.
The items were received on 22nd July 2026, with every quantity confirmed in full, and are being channelled through the appropriate state institutions for distribution to affected communities.
The Office of the President has since written to B5 Plus Limited to acknowledge the donation. In a letter of appreciation signed by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, PhD, the Presidency described the contribution as reflecting “a commendable commitment to the welfare of the Ghanaian people” and valuable support to the Government’s ongoing relief efforts, adding that it looked forward to continued partnership with the company on national development and humanitarian initiatives.
