Tyrique Aaron Delali Yusuff George, currently on loan from Chelsea to Everton, has confirmed his eligibility to represent both Nigeria and Ghana at the international level, citing his diverse family heritage.
The 19-year-old forward, who joined Everton during the January transfer window for the remainder of the season, shared insights into his background and football journey.
Speaking to Everton’s official channel, George identified his heritage by stating, “I’m Tyrique George, and these are five things about me. I was born in Camden, London, and my mom is Ghanaian, and my dad is Nigerian.”
George reflected on his club experiences, highlighting the competitions he participated in while with Chelsea. “At Chelsea, I played in the Champions League, Conference League, and the Club World Cup,” he stated, providing context to his development as a player.
Internationally, George has been a consistent presence in England’s youth teams. “I started playing for England from the under-15s and have progressed to the under-21s,” he noted, emphasizing his steady advancement through the ranks.
