Wa Sore Nante FC has lodged a protest against Northern City FC, alleging that an unqualified official was fielded during their Access Bank Division One League match on Match Day 22.
However, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee dismissed the protest, deeming it frivolous. According to sources, the management of Wa Sore Nante SC has obtained video evidence that contradicts the committee’s decision, raising concerns about the fairness and accuracy of the outcome.
As the appeal case is pending, the management of Sore Nante seek transparency and clarity on the committee’s findings. In a statement released by the management of Sore Nante, they stated,
“We urge the relevant authorities to ensure a thorough review of the appeal, prioritizing fairness and accuracy in their decision-making process”.
On the contrary, Hohoe United and Swedru All Blacks has all qualified to compete in the Ghana Premier League next season.
