The renovation works at the Essipong Sports Stadium has commenced on Monday, July 10 after a lengthy break.
Cisdan Company Limited returns to site and has commenced operation on the renovation of the sporting edifice which began on May 2020.

Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Honorable Isaac Asiamah revealed an amount of GH¢17,969,447.10 will go into the phase 1 of the refurbishing of the facility.

According to the Minister, whose visit to the facility was some 3 years ago, the first phase will cater for: removing the defected existing roofing sheets of the stadium and replacing them with new ones. Also there would be corrosive protective works which includes sun blasting to remove built-in rust and apply heavy duty coating that will guard against corrosion to metal structures of the stadium.
Hon. Asiamah also added that, the contractor will be renovating the offices at the stadium, replacing of defected sanitary appliances, repair lifts and fire fighters systems.

Per the above description, it’s clear that Cisdan Company Limited will tackle some aspect of the phase one work before heading to phase two which will be repairing and replacing broken spectator seats, electrical installations, other external works and completion of hotels and shops at the stadium.
