President Akufo-Addo has left the shores of Ghana for Qatar for the Black Stars World Cup opener against Portugal.[ads2]
The President is expected to meet the Black Stars playing body, technical team and other contingents before the Portugal game on Thursday.
Ghana will come face-to-face against the European giants in first group game of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar on Thursday, November 24, 2022.[ads3]
The West African giants are expected to defeat Portugal on Thursday to boost chances of making it to the knockout stage of the competition.

Even though Portugal is largely considered as one of the favorites to win the tournament, Ghana boast of highly-talented squad capable of surprising the European champions at the Stadium 974.[ads4]
According to reports in the camp of the Black Stars, there is no injury concern with coach Otto Addo and his charges eager to give the Portuguese side a good game.
