Hearts of Oak attacker, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been included in Ghana’s final squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar which start later this month, according to multiple reports in the media.[ads2]
The in-form goal poacher is reportedly part of the Black Stars final 26-man squad after the 55-man provisional list was pruned down by coach Otto Addo.
Afriyie Barnieh has been in a superb form for Hearts of Oak, Black Galaxies and the Black Meteors this season where he has been scoring on all cylinders.[ads3]
Per the reports, Afriyie Barnieh will be the only local-based player to be in Qatar after teammate Dennis Korsah and Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim have been dropped after making the 55-man provisional list.
Meanwhile, the final 26 players are expected to arrive in Abu Dhabi on November 14 for Ghana’s final preparations where the team will play Switzerland in a friendly on November 17 before heading to Qatar.
