The General Manager of FC Samartex, Edmund Ackah has described the bankroller of the Club, Richard Nsenkyire as someone with an incomprehensible knowledge about football.[ads2]
Even though Richard Nsenkyire is more into corporate governance, Edmund Ackah, who is regarded as one of the finest football administrators in the domestic league, has revealed that the knowledge that the astute businessman have about football is something difficult to comprehend.
“I can say without a doubt that Mr Nsenkyire is among the few personalities who have been supportive to my career as a football administrator. I have been working with him for awhile and he is always ready to support to us as administrators of FC Samartex”, the former Asante Kotoko management member said in an interview on Takoradi-based Connect FM.
He attributed to FC Samartex qualification to the Ghana Premier league to the magnificent support of Richard Nsenkyire who is also the Managing Director of Samartex Timber and Plywood Limited.
“He is not that person who listens and act on the views of the ignorant. He has given us the powers to make decisions in the club. We are grateful to him for his enormous support, I will say without his support, FC Samartex wouldn’t have qualified to play in the Premier league, we would have been failures by now”, he said.[ads3]
“We have a boss whose knowledge about football is difficult to comprehend. Even though he is more into corporate governance, he is very supportive, when many thought he will sack us when the team qualified for the Ghana Premier league, he renewed our contracts without delay”, Edmund Ackah added…
Meanwhile, the Club Licensing Board of the Ghana Football Association has approved the Nsenkyire stadium as home venue for FC Samartex after a thorough inspection.
The renovated edifice boast of 2,300 capacity and expected to be expanded to 6,000 capacity when the renovation exercise is fully completed.[ads4]
This mean that FC Samartex will be able to host Great Olympics at the Nsenkyire stadium in Samreboi in week four of the Ghana Premier league on Monday, October 31, 2022.
The Timber Boys adopted the Akoon Park as home venue before the commencement of the 2022/23 league season when the Nsenkyire stadium was under renovation.
FC Samartex currently sit twelfth on the Ghana Premier league table with three points after three matches.[ads5]
