Ghana Premier league powerhouse, Hearts of Oak have completed the acquisition of talented midfielder Hakeem Muniru.
Popularly referred to as Xavi, Muniru has joined the Phobians after trials with the team’s junior side Auroras.[ads2]
Hakeem Muniru has joined the reigning Ghana Premier league champions from lower tier side Freedom Fighters FC in Obuasi.
A statement from Freedom Fighters FC reads, “The management of Obuasi Freedom Fighters Football Club deem it a great honour to announce to their loving supporters, general public and all football loving fans of their agreement with ACCRA HEARTS OF OAK on the transfer of their midfield maestro HAKEEM MUNIRU also known as XAVI.[ads3]
“This potential agreement came as a result of the impressive performance of Hakeem on his six months trials with their junior side AURORAS. The midfield maestro won four juvenile league titles with the Fighters. Under 13 (2013 and 2014) under 15( 2015) and under 17 ( 2018). He also won the best player of the year in the under 13 division in 2014. As one core objective of the club is to fight hard to nurse the players to achieve their professional dream.
