Founder of the National Liberation Congress, Stephen Atubiga has entreated John Dramani Mahama to discard any intentions of contesting the 2024 presidential elections.
According to Atubiga, there is no way John Dramani Mahama can become the president of Ghana again due to the fact that his confidants in the NDC are against his ambition of becoming the leader of the republic again.[ads2]
Speaking on Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio/TV, the former senior member of the NDC opined that Mahama can run a mammoth campaign in all corners of the country but will never be able to takeover the mantle from the ruling New Patriotic Party.
“Mahama can never be president again, I know what am talking about because his associates in the NDC are against him. It will be a waste of time if he decides to contest for the 2024 elections”, Atubiga said.[ads3]
He continued that, “I decided to leave the NDC to form my own party [National Liberation Congress] because the geriatrics in the party [NDC] have refused to hand over the mantle to the youth and with that it will take many years for the NDC to return to power. “[ads5]
