Elmina Sharks head coach, Yaw Acheampong has parted ways with the club.
Yaw Acheampong has resigned from his position at Elmina Sharks hours after their defeat to Legon Cities FC.[ads2]
The former Ghana international tendered his resignation letter to the management of the club on Thursday, February 25, 2021 citing personal reasons as basis for his resignation.
Also, assistant coach Felix Aboagye has also resigned from his position as well as the goalkeeper’s trainer Nana Mbrah.[ads3]
This was announced in a statement from the Ghana Premier League club.
Elmina Sharks are currently suffering financially as two of their best players Benjamin Tweneboah and Benjamin Arthur have left the team after failing to renew their contracts.[ads4]
Currently, the owner of the club Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum is in the United States due to health issues.
Yaw Acheampong joined Elmina Sharks in 2017 after Kobina Amissah who qualified the team to the Ghana Premier League was sacked.
