Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku has been named the man of the match in their 2:0 win over Liberty Professionals.
Opoku netted brace in the cagey encounter to secure Asante Kotoko the full points at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday afternoon.[ads2]
Asante Kotoko dominated the first half with the likes of Fabio Gama, Kwame Opoku, Emmanuel Sarkodie and William Opoku Mensah coming close to the opener.
In just ten minutes into the first half, Kwame Opoku broke the virginity for Asante Kotoko with Brazilian Fabio Dos Santos Gama on the assist card.[ads3]
The Porcupine Warriors continued to open fire on Liberty Professionals until Kwame Opoku had the second goal in the 19th minute of the game.
It was a well calculated pass from Fabio Gama that led to Kwame Opoku netting the second for Asante Kotoko to end the first half.[ads4]
