Asante Kotoko have rekindled interest to sign Ghanaian striker Shafiu Mumuni according to Oyerepa FM.
This comes after the club have reportedly called off negotiations with Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala.

Oyerepa FM is reporting that, Asante Kotoko have cancelled the negotiations with Steven Mukwala because the Maroon FC goal poacher was demanding full payment of the enticement fee agreed.
This has led to the management of the Ghana Premier League record holders resuming transfer talks with Shafiu Mumuni who is currently a free agent after leaving AshantiGold Sporting Club.

Mumuni is a long-standing transfer target for Asante Kotoko but an earlier negotiations halted which saw the club chasing for the signature of Steven Mukwala.
The Black Stars “B” attacker could be joining Asante Kotoko before the transfer deadline on October 31.

He was heavily linked to Dreams FC but he later denied the news.
Meanwhile Asante Kotoko already boast of Kwame Poku, Osman Ibrahim, William Opoku Mensah and Naby Keita as strikers.
