Former Ghana defender, John Paintsil has revealed his dream of coaching Ghana’s senior male team Black Stars.
John Paintsil currently holds a South African coaching license which forbids him to stand at the dugout of any team as their head coach according to the new regulations by the Club License Board.
He was the gaffer for Legon Cities FC but due to coaching certificate issues, he had to vacate the position but now engaging in coaching courses to meet the standard.

Speaking on Citi TV, the former West Ham United defender believes coaching the Black Stars in future would be a dream come true.
“Yes I’m working on my badges, he said on Citi TV’s Football Made In Ghana.
“We are just waiting on the FA to give us the green light as to when we can do the course.

“Coaching the national team will be a dream come true, so i’ll be praying towards that.
“Coaching the national team will be a very interesting one.” he concluded.

John Paintsil is now a management member of Ghana Premier league side Legon Cities FC.
Paintsil, who is also a former Fulham, Leicester City defender capped 89 times for Ghana from 2001-2013.
