The Executive Council of the Western Regional Football Association (WRFA) has held first ever meeting with their newly formed Media Committee at the BoyBoison Hotel in Takoradi on Saturday, July 25, 2020.
On July 13, 2020 the WRFA announced an eleven-member Media and Special Initiative Committee with the sole mandate of developing and overseeing a workable media and publicity policy for the association and to incorporate viable and feasible special initiative campaigns for the ultimate rebuilding of the association’s image.

The meeting which lasted about two hours was for the newly formed Media and Special Initiative Committee to officially introduce themselves to the Executive Council of the Western Regional Football Association and to discuss their scope and mandate as a Committee.
At the meeting, a new Committee made up of two members from the Executive Council and three from the Media Committee was formed with the task to within the next fourteen days put together a document which will guide the Media Committee.

Speaking after the meeting, the Chairman of the Media and Special Initiative Committee, Mr. Albert Osei Ababio said the discussions were refreshing and believes they as a Committee are ready to help change the fortunes of the Western Regional Football Association.
Present at the meeting was the Chairman of the Western Regional Football Associations Mr. Simon Ehomah and members from the Executive Council which include; Dr. PP Pearson, Malik Mohammed, Mustapha Fudail, Mr. Osei (Parma) and Amy Fynn -Thompson.

[ads4]Others include; Andy K Eshun, Kwaku Sagoe and Alex Adu from the Communications Department of the Association.

From the newly formed Media and Special Initiative Committee were Mr. Albert Osei Ababio (Chairman), Stephen Kwame Yeboah (Vice), Oti Asrifi Mensah Joseph, James Kojo Bawa Anderson , Macaben Afful and Abdul Van Rahman.
