Former Hearts of Oak defender Acquaah Harrison has revealed he’s struggling because he didn’t make much from playing from football.
Harrison who joined Hearts of Oak in 2003, had a stellar career helping the Phobians to a CAF Confederation Cup title in 2004.

In his latest media interaction with Accra based Angel FM, the former Great Olympics and Eleven Wise versatile player opined that almost all the Confederation Cup winning team didn’t make most out of their football career putting the blames on the then management team.

He further went on to say his signing on fee was paid in half.
“If I tell you I am broke, you won’t believe it. I signed two years contract with Hearts of Oak worth ten million old cedis (now 1000 cedis) but I only got six million (now 600 cedis) out of it.”
“Clubs won’t give players money they deserve but will rather use it on something different” – Harrison concluded.

Acquaah Harrison is currently serving as the deputy coach for former Ghana Premier League winners and now Division Two side, Eleven Wise.
