Ethiopia will be hosting Ghana in the 2022 World Cup qualifier in South Africa according to reports in the media.
The East African country was supposed to have host the Black Stars at the Bahir Dar Stadium in Ethiopia in a matchday 5 fixture in November but the stadium has been suspended.[ads2]
Earlier reports was that the game has been moved to Kenya after a thorough consultations.
However, reports currently murmuring in the media indicate that the game will now be played at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.[ads3]
This, according to reports, comes after the Ethiopia Football Federation and the South Africa Football Association reached an agreement on Thursday.[ads4]
Ghana will have to defeat Ethiopia at all cost to boost chances of qualifying to the knockout stage of the qualifiers before hosting South Africa in the last game of the qualifiers.
Ghana currently sit second on the group table, with just a point separating them and leaders South Africa.[ads5]
