Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim has been axed from Ghana’s final 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar later this month.
The young netminder, according to multiple reports, couldn’t convinced coach Otto Addo after getting a nod in the 55-man provisional list.
Danlad, despite his exploits for Asante Kotoko, the Black Galaxies and Black Meteors missed out on the final three goalkeepers going to represent Ghana at the mundial.
Per the reports, Ghana coach Otto Addo has settled on Jojo Wollacott, Richard Ofori and Abdul Manaf Nurudeen as the three goalkeepers for the tournament, dropping Danlad Ibrahim and Lawrence Ati Zigi.
Meanwhile, the final 26 players are expected to arrive in Abu Dhabi on November 14 for Ghana’s final preparations where the team will play Switzerland in a friendly on November 17 before heading to Qatar.
Ghana is in group H of the World Cup alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
