Three local-based players have been invited by Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar which start later this month.[ads2]
The three players were named in the Black Stars 55-man provisional squad for the World Cup in Asian country.
The three are; Hearts of Oak duo of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Dennis Korsah alongside Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim.[ads3]
Meanwhile, former Asante Kotoko duo of Mudasiru Salifu and Imoro – currently playing for FC Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova and Al Hilal of Sudan respectively, have been named in the Black Stars provisional squad.
The 55 players are expected to arrive in Abu Dhabi on November 14 for the Black Stars final preparations where they will play a friendly game against Switzerland on November 17.
Ghana is in group H of the World Cup alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.[ads4]
