Ghana Premier League side, Karela United have appointed Dr. Prosper Nartey popularly known as ‘Ogum’ as their new head coach, Kyfilla.com can confirm.

The University of Cape Coast lecturer inked a two-year deal with the Ayinase based club after successful negotiations.

He has taken over from coach Johnson Smith who joined Asante Kotoko as the assistant coach few days ago.

Ogum was officially unveiled on Saturday, as he was introduced to chiefs and queen mothers in Ayinase and its environs as well as the member of Parliament for Ellembelle, Hon. Armah Kofi Buah and other prominents personalities in the Nzema land.

He is expected to continue from where coach Johnson Smith left the team after placing second in the just ended NC Special Competition tier I.

Dr. Prosper Nartey has previously coached Ghana Premier League outfit Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs.
