While her husband was gone, a mother invited a convicted rapist John Davies to stay at her house and set up a rape with her 12-year-old daughter.
In a statement released on Wednesday, May 28, Staffordshire Police claimed that its Public Protection Unit had investigated the paedophile after learning that he had violated a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) in April 2024.
In May 2024, he entered a guilty plea to three counts of creating an indecent photograph of a child, three counts of violating a SHPO, disseminating an indecent photograph of a kid, and attempting to have sex with a child.
He was eventually convicted by a jury of planning the commission of a child sex offense, specifically the rape of a minor under the age of thirteen.
On Tuesday, May 27, the 45-year-old was found guilty at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court and given a 20-year prison sentence. In addition, he was added to the sex offenders’ register for eternity.
“I am happy that we have been able to provide a positive resolution on this case,” stated Detective Constable Nathalie Connolly, who was in charge of the case against Davey.
“I hope this sentencing demonstrates our commitment to addressing child sex offenses and ensuring the safety of children throughout Staffordshire,” He said.
