Ghanaian international Daniel Kofi Kyereh has finally returned after a lengthy absence due to an ACL injury he sustained in February 2023.
The talented midfielder has been sidelined for almost two years since he sustained the injury. The injury has also kept him out of the national team as he missed most of Ghana’s AFCON and World Cup qualifiers.
The 28-year-old is back with the German outfit SC Freiburg as he participated in his first-ever senior team training since his return on Wednesday evening, ahead of their UEFA Europa League clash with Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday night at home.
This comes as good news for the Ghana national team, as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
Daniel Kofi Kyereh has already featured in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and there is a chance for him to feature again, provided he stays fit and injury-free.
