Twenty-five candidates have been cleared to contest in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries in the Western Region on May 13, 2023.
The elections will be held in nine constituencies in the region with Jomoro MP Dorcas Toffey seeking for another term.
Former Western Region Deputy Minister, Emelia Arthur is contesting for the ticket to lead the NDC as parliamentary candidate in Shama while 2020 candidate for Essikado-Ketan, Dr Grace Ayensu-Danquah is also in the race again.
