Update: Court slaps Farouk Adams with six charges; Check them

The Berekum Circuit Court has slapped Aduana Stars defender Farouk Adams with six charges after hitting a police officer with his car .

Adams has been making the headlines for the past few days after hitting a police constable with his saloon car and leaving the officer to death.[ads2]

The news broke on Monday, March 1, 2021 that the experienced defender has hit a police officer with his car in Dormaa Ahenkro in the Bono East Region.

The incident is said to have occurred at Asuotiano-Berekum road.

The police officer is said to have died at the spot but Farouk Adams was arrested and placed under police custody.[ads3]

At a court hearing, Farouk Adams who had sealed a move to the United States and was about to fly abroad in the next few days, has been slapped with six charges.

He was charged for a careless and inconsiderate driving, negligently causing harm, failing to report accident to police, failing to stop to attend to the accident victim, driving a motor vehicle without a valid road use certificate and driving a motor vehicle without a valid insurance.[ads4]

He has been remanded at the police custody and will be reappear before court at a yet to be announced date.
