Stop drinking alcohol, take personal training seriously – Richard Ocran advises young footballers

Former Nkana FC defender, Richard Ocran has given a word of advice to the upcoming footballers who aspire to reach the higher height in their career.

The former Nkana FC skipper believes upcoming footballers who have great taste for alcohol, can never reached the height they aspire, hence they should desist from such act.[ads2]

He opined that most of the successful footballers in the world have become who they are currently because they were able to kick against the habit of drinking alcohol during the genesis of their career.

Reacting to the secret behind his career as a footballer, the former AshantiGold Sporting Club defender vehemently stated that aside not being alcohol consumer, he takes his personal training very seriously, a thing that he believes has sustained him throughout his career.[ads3]

“My advice to the upcoming footballers is that they should desist from drinking alcohol at that stage, and take personal training seriously in order to become successful”, Ocran told Takoradi-based Ahoto FM in an interview.

Richard Ocran is currently a free agent after about three seasons with Nkana FC in the Zambia Premier League.[ads4]

He left Nkana FC after winning the Zambia Premier League, Charity Cup and Community Shield trophies.
