StarTimes to telecast five GPL matches minimum a day

Television company, StarTimes have announced to broadcast five Ghana Premier League matches minimum on a match day.

StarTimes holds the broadcasting rights of the Ghana Premier League after reaching a successful deal with the Ghana FA.

At the launching of the 2020/21 Ghana league season on Thursday, StarTimes made it known that at least five premiership matches will be telecasted a day.

The Ghana FA also announced that they would be telecasting three division one league matches and two games from the Women’s Premier League a day when the league season resumes.

Meanwhile, the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season will commence on November 14, 2020 at the various league centres.

The Ghana FA president, Kurt Okraku also announced that the winner of the Ghana Premier League will get Gh¢250,000.00 as prize money and forty gold medals alongside the giant trophy.

The second placed team will smile to the bank to cash out Gh¢150,000.00 and will get forty silver medals while the third placed team would pocket Gh¢80,000.00 plus forty bronze medals.

Clubs that will secure premiership slot from the various three zones would get Gh¢50,000.00 each.
