Media personality Mugabe Maase says he’s gifting Hearts of Oak and Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare a private car and it’s all because of his humility and genuine character.
This comes after a video of the Black Stars goalkeeper boarding public transport (trotro) went viral, sparking mixed reactions online. While some mocked him, many admired his simplicity despite his status as a national star.
Speaking on his show on Power FM, Mugabe Maase said he was deeply touched by Asare’s down-to-earth lifestyle and hard work, adding that a man like that deserves comfort.
“Benjamin Asare is too humble. For a national star to still use public transportation this day… I will personally gift him a car,” he vowed.
Asare was also spotted recently cleaning the Gorle-Gono beach. Prior to this, he was seen sharing part of his wining bonuses with his Accra Hearts of Oak team mates.
