Ghana Premier league powerhouse, Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of sagacious forward Dickson Afoakwa.
The 23-year old forward has joined the Ghana Premier league record holders on a three-year deal after successful medicals.[ads2]
Afoakwa has penned down a three-year deal for the Porcupine Warriors after two-week of intensive trials.
The club’s official statement reads “We have completed the signing of winger Dickson Afoakwa. The offensive player joins as a free agent on a three-year deal”[ads3]
He was born in Kumasi and played for local club Cornerstones FC from Division One League until 2016.
During the summer transfer window in 2016, scouts of Dinamo Brest noticed the player and he moved to the team.
At the beginning, Dickson played for the reserves team, where he tried to adjust himself to local football, and after the adaptation period was over, he moved to the first squad. He left Dinamo Brest after the 2018 season.[ads4]
He has joined Asante Kotoko as a free agent after becoming unattached since December, 2019.
He has become Asante Kotoko tenth signing in the ongoing transfer window after Richmond Lamptey, Maxwell Agyemang, Collins Opoku, Isaac Oppong, Samuel Appiah, Richard Boadu, Samuel Boateng, Augustine Agyapong and Sheriff Mohammed.[ads5]
