NSA Boss inspects Cape Coast Sports Stadium ahead of Ghana-Zimbabwe clash

The Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Professor Peter Twumasi, has on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, inspected the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Professor Twumasi inspected the preparatory works ongoing at the stadium ahead of 2022 World Cup qualifier between Ghana and Zimbabwe on Saturday, October 9, 2021.[ads2]

Ghana is expected to have a behind closed doors training at the stadium this evening as they prepare for the upcoming encounter.

The game is a must-win for Ghana after accumulating only three points in last two matches of the qualifiers. The West African country narrowly won the first game against Ethiopia but lost the second game by 1:0 to South Africa in Johannesburg.[ads3]

Coach Milovan Rajevac and his charges are preparing for the upcoming encounter with twenty-seven players led by skippers Andre Ayew and Thomas Partey already in camp.

And according to Professor Peter Twumasi, works ongoing at the stadium for the game on Saturday is nearing completion and the stadium will be ready for the game this weekend.

Present for the inspection were Regional Director of National Sports Authority (NSA), Mr Alexander Ofori Tieku , and CEO of Green Grass Technology Ltd, Mr Frank Boahen.[ads5]
