NSA boss files Gh¢4m defamation suit against two staff of the authority

The Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Professor Peter Twumasi has filed a defamation lawsuit against two staff of the authority, seeking Gh¢4million in damages.

The defendants are Kwame Baah Mensah and Edmond Appiah who are all staff of the authority.

A two-page court document sighted by Kyfilla.com filed at the Supreme Court, Professor Twumasi is seeking the demages for a “defamatory statement recklessly and maliciously” published by the defendants in a letter dated June 20, 2022 titled “Petition against the Director General of the National Sports Authority Professor Peter Twumasi to step aside for thorough investigation.”

Professor Twumasi is also praying to the apex court for an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendants, their agents, assigns, workmen, principals, servants, allies or anyone claiming through or under them or upon their instructions, directions or support from publication of any further false, derogatory, disparaging, and or defamatory allegations and or material against his persona.
